ADVANTUM Highlights Benefits of Outsourcing IT Services to Jamaica at Going Global London
ADVANTUM recently joined Jamaica’s delegation at the Going Global Expo from November 12-13, 2025, to showcase the benefits of outsourcing IT services to Jamaica. The group’s participation was part of the UK Trade Partnership (UKTP) Mission hosted by the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) & the International Trade Centre (ITC).
At the expo, the Jamaican cohort lead by JAMPRO’s Regional Manager for Europe, Laurence Jones conducted a panel discussion which explored Jamaica’s rise as a hub for digital services, knowledge processing outsourcing and technology innovation. ADVANTUM’s CEO Dr. Frances Yeo joined Almando Cox of Resolve IT, Dmitri Dawkins of MC Systems, and Marc Marrero of Securys Limited. Together, they discussed why Jamaica is now a strategic location for global tech investment.

Jamaica’s Digital Transformation: A Competitive Advantage
Jamaica’s digital sector has moved far beyond basic BPO. It now delivers high-value innovation and specialised technical skills.
Dmitri Dawkins of MC Systems stressed that outsourcing to Jamaica is driven by quality, not only cost. He pointed to Jamaica’s deep experience across sectors and its strong technical talent. He also noted the country’s resilience during global economic shifts. These strengths help businesses improve accuracy, efficiency, and diversification.
Benefits of a Skilled, Tech-Savvy Workforce
Dr. Yeo highlighted Jamaica’s young workforce. She noted that 60% of the population is under 35. This creates a naturally tech-savvy talent pool. Strong training partnerships with government, universities, and global tech companies support this growth.
She also emphasized ADVANTUM’s long track record and Jamaica’s proven IT capability:
“We’re not new to the game. We’re just new to the space in the UK. We are proven and we are tried because our software runs on several platforms. We develop platforms. This is not novel to us. Over 40,000 people now work in IT in Jamaica. For a population of 2.4 million, that is a strong number. Jamaica is an opportunity because we have performers. We have performed in this area, and we can perform.”
Dr. Yeo added that ADVANTUM’s expansion builds on over 40 years of delivering mission-critical logistics and transportation software across the Caribbean.
Benefits of Collaboration and Long-Term Partnerships
Almando Cox of Resolve IT spoke about Jamaica’s culture of service. He described the country’s long-standing client relationships and the trust built over decades. He also introduced the Jamaican Digital Consortium. This group combines expertise in software development, cybersecurity, AI, documentation, and managed IT services. Its goal is to deliver complete digital solutions for global partners.
Benefits of OUTSOURCING TO JAMAICA FOR UK INVESTORS
Securys Limited is one of the newest UK tech investors in Jamaica. Marc Marrero, representing the company said one of the benefits of outsourcing IT services to Jamaica was the strong talent and a solid work ethic. He also noted Jamaica’s value as a base for regional growth.
“Jamaica ticked all the boxes,” he said. “It was one of the few locations where we could confidently build, grow, and serve both domestic and regional markets.”

GOING GLOBAL: Expanding Jamaica’s Digital Footprint
ADVANTUM’s role in the UKTP mission showed the company’s commitment to global expansion. It also reinforced Jamaica’s position as a rising digital powerhouse. The mission’s discussions proved that Jamaica offers more than potential. The country delivers proven performance, innovation, and a future-ready workforce.
