ADVANTUM’s story began within the Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ), which, from the 1960s to the early 2000s, was responsible for all labour supply to the Port of Kingston, the Caribbean's largest transshipment hub.
In the 1970s, to meet the increasing demand for efficiency in logistics and labour management, the SAJ developed a dedicated technology team. On October 9, 1981, Port Computer Services Limited was formally registered as a separate company.
Over the decades, Port Computer Services expanded beyond the Port of Kingston, developing and supporting software, terminal operating systems, network infrastructure, business continuity, and other technology services for organisations across the region.
Today, Port Computer Services Limited trades as ADVANTUM, building on our proud heritage while delivering modern operations management software, workforce solutions, integrations, mobile applications, and Business Intelligence capabilities.
