The region’s leading port, logistics and workforce management software technology firm ADVANTUM, has joined the growing ranks of the Jamaica Technology & Digital Alliance (JTDA) membership. JTDA Deputy President Junior Darrell presented the membership certificate to ADVANTUM’s Communications and Marketing Executive Tsahai Morgan during the Members Mingle event at the Courtleigh Hotel in Kingston on May 7, 2025. This celebrates a major milestone in ADVANTUM’s drive to advance Jamaica’s digital transformation.

The event also celebrated the achievements of several Jamaican women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), recognizing their contributions both locally and internationally. This aligns with JTDA’s mission to empower IT professionals and foster innovation through inclusive community engagement.

Formally dubbed the Jamaica Computer Society, the JTDA serves as the national body for ICT professionals, promoting knowledge exchange and the effective use of technology for societal benefit. The alliance facilitates networking among industry experts, academia, and IT enthusiasts, encouraging new thinking and career advancement opportunities.

ADVANTUM’s induction into the JTDA underscores its commitment to advancing Jamaica’s digital economy. This also highlights the collaborative efforts needed to drive technological innovation across the nation. Jamaican business within the port and logistics industries have trusted ADVANTUM for decades to provide software development, application hosting, network, and communication services.

Established in 1981 as Port Computer Services, ADVANTUM holds the distinction of being the pioneer in the computerization of the Port of Kingston, one of the hemisphere’s premier and most strategically located transshipment ports. The team has also in recent years automated operations at the Montego Bay Port (another main port located in the second city of Jamaica). The ADVANTUM software suite also includes solutions for customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, warehouses and workforce management, successfully deployed to clients in Jamaica and across the Caribbean.
