ADVANTUM’S Software Development Lead Appointed to JTDA Council

Innovation, leadership and a passion for digital transformation have earned Calmin Scarlett, Software Development Team Lead at ADVANTUM, a seat on the Jamaica Technology & Digital Alliance (JTDA) Council for the 2026–2028 term. His appointment places him among a respected group of industry leaders who will help shape the future of Jamaica’s technology and innovation ecosystem.

At ADVANTUM, Scarlett has helped drive the development and evolution of a growing suite of enterprise software solutions designed to modernise operations across multiple industries. These include the ADVANTUM Motor Vehicle Management System, Port Management System, Warehouse Management System, Distribution Management System, Freight Management System and eLabour platform, all of which support businesses in improving efficiency, visibility and operational control.

He has also contributed to the company’s continued innovation through the recent launch of ADVANTUM’s AI-powered EDI Converter, a solution designed to streamline manifest uploads into ASYCUDA and Port Computer Systems. Alongside this, ADVANTUM continues to strengthen its portfolio with Financials, Payroll, and CRM solutions that support organisations in managing their operations through integrated digital systems.

The JTDA’s newly selected council members showcase a dynamic group of professionals drawn from technology, innovation, policy, and business. The 2026–2028 Council includes representatives from organisations such as the Jamaica ICT Authority, Innovate 10X, Xayah Consultancy, Epic Transformation, Youth Can Do I.T., the University of the West Indies, National Housing Trust, Hubmark and ADVANTUM, among others. This council expands the JTDA’s reach across the innovation ecosystem locally and globally, strengthening how the organisation supports Jamaica’s ICT sector and digital transformation agenda. While the newly elected Board of Executives is made up of, Danielle Mullings who is appointed as Deputy President, Yanique Wilson-Douglas who is appointed as Vice President of Marketing & Events, Vice President of Innovation & Education Dr. Arthur Phidd, Melissa Powell who was appointed as Vice President of Membership and Vice President of , Advocacy & Governance Tricia Rowe.

Scarlett’s appointment reflects not only his technical expertise, but also his commitment to advancing Jamaica’s ICT sector and supporting the country’s wider digital transformation goals. By joining the JTDA Council, he will contribute to initiatives focused on stronger collaboration, smarter systems, and meaningful technological impact both locally and internationally.

His appointment also reinforces ADVANTUM’s growing role in shaping the future of digital innovation in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
